Organized Youth Group Cooking

This “Iron Chef” style cooking event is a great option for all of those philanthropic, scouting, home school groups and other youth development groups looking for a dynamic 2 hour activity. These kids can cook for badges, educational requirements, team building exercises or just for a fun social gathering. Weather permitting, Escuela de Rogow can accommodate groups anywhere from 8 to 30 kids/teens (additional adult support must be provided for groups larger than 12 and for elementary aged kids 3rd-5th). Upon arrival, the group is divided into kitchen brigades. These brigades will be provided with cooking stations, a recipe, fresh ingredients, and the equipment needed to execute the task at hand. Most importantly, I provide a lively demonstration on how to read, prep, and cook the selected dish. They even learn how to clean and sanitize! This event can be as competitive or amiable as requested! All of the kids eat the item that they made at the end of the event. There is even enough for the adult chaperones to indulge as well.
